FRIDAY, MAY 14

6:00  – 8:00pm

Changing The Vibration: Sound healing & dharma talk with Nicole Steward & Shanie Gill (in-person and live-streamed!)

Now more than ever, we are feeling a sense of overwhelm. Much of this is tied to the unending overstimulation of a constantly connected society with some dominant shades of capitalism, white supremacy and lack of true social justice. All of this causes stress and tension in our lives. Join us for a conversation on how this overwhelm shows up in our bodies and enjoy a sound healing session as a radical self-care practice, an opportunity for deep rest. We'll discuss what sound healing is and how it impacts us, then we will experience the co-regulating vibrations of sound healing together.

Limited in-person spots at Pleasure Point Yoga are available for this session! At ticket check-out, you’ll be able to indicate if you plan on attending in-person. (If not, we’re excited to see you on Zoom!)

Radical Self-Care Workshop with Nicole Steward

Speaker, author, and social worker, Nicole Steward teaches us the founding principles of radical self-care—while we are all healers, we are also healing. How we come out of crisis on the other side is dependent on our capacity to care for ourselves as well as others. Let’s learn take care of ourselves so we can transform the world.

Creator of Radical Tendencies Yoga & Mindfulness Education™, Nicole teaches yoga, self-care workshops, and professional development that focuses on understanding the neurobiology of trauma to social service agencies, schools, and non-profit organizations. She is a social worker who spent two decades working in foster youth services, rape crisis, juvenile justice, and as a behavior intervention specialist.

3:00 – 4:15pm

BLM & Artivism Community Convo

A conversation with SPEAK FOR CHANGE podcast host Thomas Sage Pedersen and artist-activist Abi Mustapha

4:30 – 6:00pm

Kauit Yoga with Alessandra Grando & Bruno Prager of SATI Yoga

Exhausted? Burnt out? Does your system need an infusion of structural and energetic healing?

The Kaiut Method begins with restoring biomechanical health, building strength and mobility. Join co-teachers Ale and Bruno to dissolve rigidity in your body, receive more comfort and ease, and tune into a balanced, clear mind. Poses are adapted for the floor and focus on deep, specific work in the body, beginning with the joints. Bring a mat, yoga bolster (or two firm cushions or pillows), and yoga strap (or long belt, scarf, etc.).

SUNDAY, MAY 16

Trauma & Somatic Healing with Kaye Wilkinson of Legacy Motion

Join Kirsten (Kaye) Wilkinson for a restorative movement practice drawing on Qi-Gong, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Somatic Experiencing, and Mind/Body Mindfulness to assist in invigorating your body, discovering your heartfelt mission, yielding and reconnecting with the flow of gravity, improving vagal tone, and centering from external to internal observation to shift neuroplasticity and self regulation.

10:00 – 11:15am

12:30 – 1:45pm

Dancing Shiva with Miye Bishop

Join yoga and dance instructor Miye Bishop for a movement class fused with yoga, dance, and lesson from Bishop’s travels in India. Slow Flow with Magnolia Rasak

Slow Flow builds foundation, strength, and proper alignment. Poses are held for longer periods of time, allowing students to find their edge (that place in between exerting too much and not enough) and soften into the fire. Breathe, Move, Relax. Rinse, Repeat.

4:00pm

Closing Circle & Dance Party! with The YFAMily

It’s gonna be gooood! Joy, movement, and togetherness, closing with mindfulness and gratitude.
