Love In Action: Birthday Soirée

Wow! What a fantastic afternoon of community, connection, collective care, and celebration on October 15th for our Love In Action: YFAM Birthday Soiree. If you weren’t able to make it, we missed you! Here are some highlights: 

Shannon Blake from The Creative Eden Lounge graciously stepped in and donated their space when we learned that our original location was no longer able to allow us to have live music. We didn’t want to miss out on the funky tunes from The Lovebyrds and the incredibly talented musicians they brought together for the occasion so were grateful to be able to pivot last minute and make it happen. 

Santa Cruz Mayor Fred Keeley and Santa Cruz City Council member, Martine Watkins were on hand to present us with a Proclamation naming October 15th as YFAM Day. We heard stories of transformation from some of YFAM’s teachers and came together in song and meditation. 

Birthday cake, dancing, games and prizes kept the party lively.
