Upcoming Events:

On Thanksgiving Day, join us for a special gratitude flow with our founder and executive director, Shandara Gill and special guest teacher Rae Rae Stein at Breath and Oneness Yoga Studio. Michael Downey will be holding it down on the gratitude train with beautiful music accompaniment and a sing along kirtan to wrap up our session.

In a time where it might be difficult to consciously consider what we’re grateful for, let’s gather as a community to tap into our universal heart of compassion. We can source our gratitude to heal ourselves within our community; and therefore, be a source of healing for others.

Donation based, Sliding Scale starting at $10, proceeds will benefit Yoga For All Movement and Second Harvest Food Bank. More info here.

Upcoming Transformational Retreat!

Yoga For All Movement goes to Tahoe! We are collaborating with Sweaty Sheep, Living Evolution, Shared Adventures, Downtown Streets Team, Adventure N’ Learn and Happy HeART studio to bring a soul-nurturing retreat to individuals experiencing homelessness, isolated children and families and adults with special needs. More news coming soon about this September 9th-14th holistic retreat between these transformational organizations!

Join us on Sunday, September 23rd from 2-5pm at Pleasure Point Yoga for a special workshop centered around somatic healing.

Your body is a miracle of self-healing properties. Truly! Join us as we tap into our ability to heal ourselves, embody a greater awareness for where we hold onto our past, where trauma resides in the body and the barriers we have to healing, overall. This is a comprehensive workshop drawing the link between yoga, trauma-informed care and somatic healing.

We hope you'll join us for our very first educational workshop hosted by Yoga For All Movement with guest teachers: Shandara Gill & Lela Carney.

Yoga Fest - October 2017

Yoga Fest was YFAM’s first public event and we are so glad to have been able to share with you.

Hannah Muse, accompanied with the lovely sound healing from Michael Downey and Terre Le, warmed us up and opened our hearts with a playful and profound yoga class.

After we stretched, breathed, laughed, and connected we tread further along the path to stillness and opening with the help from Mel and Joseph from Mind Body Awareness Project. We saw a glimpse into their experiences teaching meditation to youth in juvenile halls and were led into a deep and serene glimpse into our own experience through a guided meditation led by Joseph.

At this point we were primed to hear the experiences of our esteemed and passionate panel of speakers: Ayla Benjamin, Patterson Emisebe, Nicole Steward, and Martine Watkins. All of whom burn brightly for yoga equity and restorative justice.

Yoga For All Movement knows that it takes a village to create transformational change. This would not be possible without the generous gifts of our community and knowing that we have support in our mission to bring yoga to ALL in Santa Cruz County, the Central Coast, and beyond.

Summer Series at Hotel Paradox - 2017
