The Human Race Rookie of the Year!

Extra, Extra: Yoga For All Movement Wins Rookie of the Year in the Human Race

In May, the YFAM team engaged in their first large-scale fundraising effort by participating in The Human Race. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who contributed to our very successful run! All of the contributions made - from big to small gifts, to gifts of time, to the gift of moral support - each and every bit made an impact and made the event and campaign an incredible success. Yoga For All Movement ended up raising $8,700.

Not only that, but Yoga For All Movement won the esteemed Rookie of The Year Award. YFAM raised the most money as a first time participant and additionally we stood out for building relationships and doing what we do best...giving the gift of yoga to ALL.

We will be able to provide yoga props for our yoga programs, develop trauma informed yoga resources and trainings for teachers and YFAM volunteers, and we will be able to support the development of additional programs at Sequoia Schools, Salinas Valley State Prison, and Walnut Avenue Women’s and Family Center.

This couldn't have happened without the stupendous support of our volunteers, board members, family members and EVERYONE that donated ahead of time or turned out in force on the day of the race to help us raise friends and funds for increased access to yoga and mindfulness services across Santa Cruz County.
