Cassandra Licker, JD
Equity, Justice and Dignity for all people!
Cassie is an attorney at the Santa Cruz Public Defenders Office, where she runs their Clean Slate Program. Her focus is on removing or minimizing the barriers that individuals encounter in employment, housing, immigration, etc. as a result of a criminal conviction. In addition, though far from being a seasoned yogi, Cassie has seen the benefits of a regular yoga practice in her own life. She is honored to be a part of the Yoga For All Movement and to help share her passion for restoring justice with the most vulnerable in our community.
Access to sacred maps home to inner peace and unconditional love - for all beings
Hannah Muse is a teacher of yoga & meditation, activist and mother in Santa Cruz, California. While working in environmental/social justice and political activism, she found yoga and meditation; it blew her mind and opened her heart and brought her to the truth that all beings have an inherent source of unconditional love and peace that dwells within. Now, as a teacher, her mission is to offer a sacred, supportive space where people can access these tools of awareness, these maps home to their innate goodness and wholeness.
Compassion, integrity, and acceptance
Beth has a long history of social justice work in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties, including union and community organizing work and social justice organizations in higher education. Beth is sincerely committed to personal development for herself and others through yoga, meditation and profound inner work. She is the founder of Ignited Women, a program for midlife women to reclaim their wisdom and power in order to lead deeply fulfilling lives. She also leads yoga classes, workshops and retreats. She is honored to serve as a board member of the Yoga For All Movement.
Equity, justice, and compassion
A native of Salinas, Natalie has spent six years focusing her efforts on youth leadership development and advocacy throughout Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. She is a co-founder of Ciclovía Salinas – the first youth-led Open Streets initiative in the nation. Natalie is the new Jóvenes SANOS Program Director, and served two years as the Coordinator for this initiative of the United Way of Santa Cruz County. Natalie now leads the Jóvenes SANOS youth advocacy program in Watsonville and the Healthy Eating Project of Pajaro Valley – a collaboration of stakeholders committed to assisting local restaurants and market owners to increase healthy food options. Natalie is honored to serve on the board of the Yoga For All Movement and is committed to bringing her stand for compassion for those that we are serving.
Kirsten Qualey, ASW
Recovery and healing
A social worker here in Santa Cruz, Kirsten is committed to recovery from the family disease of addiction. She loves all things that help humans come to know their inherent strength and beauty. Yoga has been a part of her process of healing and self love, and is stoked to serve on the board of the Yoga for All Movement!
Unity, Well-Being, and Compassion
A native of Santa Cruz County, is continually fueled by compassion & optimism. Her 10 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector and wide-range of marketing and development skills led her to become the CEO of her own consulting firm, Consulting for Impact.
In 2015, Mariah Co-founded the United Way of Santa Cruz County's Emerging Leaders Circle and is now serving as the Co-Chair, helping advance millennial engagement throughout Santa Cruz County. Her role as Event Logistics Director for TEDxSantaCruz and steering committee member of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network allows her to collaborate on projects with incredible leaders advancing social justice in Santa Cruz County and beyond.
